Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web
A former cathedral turned into a military citadel, Turo Seu Vella can be seen on the hilltop from anywhere in the city. Many of the religious artifacts and artwork have been removed, but the atmosphere is worth experiencing. Climb to the top of its tower for fantastic views, and be sure to check out the cloister open on one side. Take a guide or you may miss a lot of interesting details about the site. • The most emblematic place of Lleida, its symbol and icon. It is essential to know the history of the city. Chosen best monument of Catalunya (by 2015) by popular vaotacion. You can learn and know more about the history, checking as already in 1640 (Felipe IV), then in the 1704 Felipe v to the present day, as the saga of the Bourbons have always wanted belittling and eradicate the Catalans and the culture and country of Catalunya. Construction started in the year 1200. Destroyed and rebuilt several times. Recently restored. You have to view the audiovisual continuously projected on the inside. I recommend uploading to the belfry (238 rungs). Worth it for the views! The enclosure also inside there is an office information and general tourism. It is advisable to visit the castle of the King (La Suda), located a few meters away. Joint admission, only €7. Easy parking (free) on the inside of the enclosure.

  • If you are visiting Lleida, this is a must. The price of the ticket is symbolic to comparing with other monuments of this caliber. The views are stunning and the story breathes in every corner! Do not miss it :)

  • I agree with the others about the beauty of the building and the spectacular views. My recommendations are: If you raise the elevator Please note that you have to take two. It is very bad and we did not see where is the second, id left. If you pay € 5 entrance you can see inside and it's worth, there is no Museum. The 238 stair climbing to ascend the tower is for athletes since the view is the same you can have viewpoints. Ved the small audiovisual that there is in a chapel of the interior, a good example of how is destroys a monument thanks to the wars. ID like walking.
