  • It is the beach of the surfers par excellence. The day we were there was red flag, and waves of three meters.

  • Spectacular waves, beach and the mountains behind, creating a breathtaking view. Too bad that during our vacation we were only once here in famara, because we had a mess. In the shops in front of the beach we rented boards and wetsuits at very very low and we launched into the waves to a truly unique experience. What's so great that being truly enormous place, those who, like us, they've never surfed nn can have fun without bothering to experts. Go there and you will see!

  • This is a great place to watch the surfers grappling with the waves. If you want to learn there are plenty of surf shops to get you upright. Even if you don't surf the scenery is stunning and there ar...  more »

  • Beach is very nice, current is relatively safe, waves are approachable. Beginners should think about going early when the tide is going out...
  • Never short of a wave. Perfect for beginners and intermediates, who will have the opportunity to catch either broken or green waves without having to go out of their depth. But the ocean can get packed out with surf schools from 10 to 4.
  • Good beach. Waves were dumping and a bit messy when we were there. Can be windy!
  • I'm not a surfer, but I can see why it's very popular right here. It's a different kind of beach, mostly with big stones, but spectacular views nevertheless.
  • Huge beach with consistent, big waves. Avoid the rocks on the left (shown in picture). No toilets or shower.
