Playa del papagayo, Lanzarote
(4.4/5 based on 2,600+ reviews on the web)
Unwind in the scenic surroundings of Playa del papagayo, a beach in a national park. If it is a clear day, look out to the islands of Puertito and Fuerteventura. The fine white sand and calm blue waters are ideal for relaxing and swimming. Though there is a cafe and bar for refreshments, compared to other beaches in Lanzarote this one has relatively few amenities, so come prepared. The short trek down to the beach might not be suitable for those with mobility issues or strollers. • It is a beautiful place, although the beach is not very beyond that is full of stones. To get you have to pay € 3 and go down a dirt road, which should arrange to facilitate access. I recommend going to see it because the views and the Creek are fascinating.

  • Nice beach to bathe and take mask and tuba, a few fish to see. Very good for children, not dangerous at all. 2 negative points: the road to get there is catastrophic and more pay, and on the other hand no fast food (sandwiches or other) on places. There are only 2 restaurants on-site, but it was a group of 16 so impossible to eat on the spot.

  • One of the few coves where the waters are just move and it is possible to bathe safely, very impressive. Sandy ... easily accessible (a staircase topped with a bar). certainly less suggestive of caleta de famara (in my opinion the most beautiful of the island)-the most beautiful beaches are definitely in fuerteventura

  • Interesting beach. Lovely clear water full of fish so bring your goggles or snorkel. Road leading here is just a dirt track so be careful when driving off the motorway, it suddenly drops. Great photo ops here.
  • Beautiful beach, very relaxing, only €3 entry fee per car.
  • Hard to reach due to the unpaved road, but the beach 8s beautiful!
  • Lovely beaches but hard to get to and limited facilities. Great if you want to get away from the madding crowd. Beaches are sandy with a stunning backdrop. Picturesque but we like a few refinements.
  • It costs to get here (3 euros). There is next to no shade. But it is beautiful. I preferred the quieter beaches with surf on the north
