Mirador del Rio, Lanzarote
(4.1/5 based on 2,600+ reviews on the web)
Designed by an artist, Mirador del Rio is a viewpoint perched 475 m (1,558 ft) on the Batería del Río. Once a lookout for ships landing clandestinely on the shore, this location was used to represent an alien planet in the BBC's "Doctor Who.” At the cafe lookout, you can view the island of La Graciosa. The gift shop located next to the cafe is built into the volcanic rock that makes up the small mountain. • Quiet go to see the island from this place especially at sunset, you will not regret absolutely. Unfortunately just to see the scenery and take pictures you have to pay € 4.50, though worth everyone.

  • Out of curiosity we went until the Mirador. The wind was blowing so hard that we were hesitant to go there. Dr. more there were many world and groups who come before you. But what you admire is well worth a visit and the time. And the price too because the entrance is 4.5 euros

  • Well worth a visit with amazing views. Sadly this visit was dampened by heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder & lightning. We were however rewarded with sunshine & a rainbow at the end of our visit.
  • We had missed out seeing Mirador on previous visits so made sure we didn't miss out this time around. Cesar Manrique made use of the volcanic forms to create a stunning viewpoint overlooking Isla La Graciosa atop the high cliffs of El Risco. Get there early on a clear day and get yourself some breakfast and enjoy the views. Vertigo sufferers may want to ease themselves cautiously towards the railings.
  • Great views but it is strange to pay to enter a cafe, especially when the food on offer (pre-packed snack type food) is really poor even if it's very reasonably priced. I think it would be better to get rid of the entrance fee and improve the food offerings (with higher prices). Although theyd need to put in a kitchen. Until that happens eat before you go...
  • View is great! Food offer can be improved :) Roads are an adventure !
  • Beautiful view. Includes restaurant. Unclear why this costs euro 4.50 to go to as you can see the same view from the road 100m further.
