Set into a hillside in the interior of Lanzarote, Lagomar Museum offers a showcase of exhibits, including one on the life and acting career of Omar Sharif. Explore the many different sections of the museum, including the house that Sharif owned (however briefly) during a film production in 1972. The art gallery showcases sculptures and paintings from around the world, with a special focus on local artists. Make sure to pay a visit to the museum’s upper levels, as they offer striking views of the surrounding valley and volcanic mounds. Grab a bite to eat at the bar and restaurant, which offers outdoor and indoor seating. • I loved the visit. The spectacular surroundings. Anchored in the Rock House. Spectacular. It's fun to see it as if it were a game, finding new places, to enjoy. I recommend it

  • It must have been lovely ever. The only thing pretty are the views, weather permitting. Is a pity that not is well preserved. Today it is a disappointment and a waste of time. With the of beautiful things that exist on the island!

  • This was a total surprise as I expected a museum and/or a house. Which there is, but that's not the best bit. The grounds are just lovely. Set into caves in the slopes of a volcano the ground are a be...  read more »
  • Fantastic house built right in the lava rock. Omar Sharif owned it for a short time, but lost it in a bridge game.
  • Awful lot of winding stairs and very little "House". Museo Lagomar (known from Dr. Schiwago and many other films) is the former home of actor Omar Sharif. Popularly called after he briefly owned the House and lost in a game of bridge. This cave - designed wonder - oh by Cesar Manrique. Oh, Yes, of course also by Jesus no one knows Soto - but the anyway. At the heart of the "Museum", the subsequent restaurant, as well as many are lots of stairs. Small steps, large stairs, horizontal steps over a dirty pond in a far too narrow cave, etc. Also, there are several more or less meaningful caves, which benefits lies in the hidden. Oh yes, then there is of course the "living area". This constitutes more than 10% of the estate and is set to neglecting Spartan - hardly believe at this opulent maze of stairs and caves. As for Manrique, whites dominate the overall picture. Also found Manrique "Junk art" throughout (without judging to do this). A very prominent example of this is a gigantic head horse with iron penis and free-floating hangers in the form of steel balls. Whether you like or isn't do - after all, can and should you not write a Yes art. But the fact is in any case that LagOmar in any way even remotely match up to the estate by Manrique himself. Everything seems slightly neglected and one can only guess the estate once must have been how magnificent. My personal highlight was that I could use to climb the seemingly endless variety of stages, Scharifs "China express".

  • Would be a wonderful, wonderful place which really perfectly reflects the idea and architecture of Manrique. If not the really nasty pigeons were everywhere. There were feces around and in each round you have to watch that don't have pigeons nesting. Why do nothing against this plague the owners here who would like to understand. From this point of view, I must say that you prefer should look at the Foundation or Jameos del Acqua in Tahiche. Because you can concentrate enjoy on it.

  • Fantastic. The entry for not resident costs 6 euros, but deserves the penalty. A house inside the mountain. Much better than any of the centers of art and culture of the Cabilbo
