Bodega El Fabulista, Laguardia

4.3
#1 of 9 in Wineries in Laguardia
Delve into a cave-like underground winery at Bodega El Fabulista. Located under the home of Félix María de Samaniego, a famous 19th-century writer of fables, this winery's bottles all have fable-related themes. See where the grapes arrive by tractor, are tipped into a concrete vat, and then are mashed by foot like in ancient times. Descend the steep, narrow stairs to the cellars below the town, and explore the cool tunnels where the wine is fermented and aged. Enter a decorated tunnel where you can enjoy a tasting with your guide, paired with explanations on the proper ways to taste and appreciate wine. Wine is sold in the cellar as well. Guided tours are available in English, but you must book in advance. Add Bodega El Fabulista and other attractions to your Laguardia trip itinerary using our Laguardia trip maker site .

  • Me to Enchanted visit to the winery, the person who us to attended us to explained perfectly the wine, from the moment the q comes to Winery, until that comes out of his shop in bottles. The Winery is the always, i.e. the elaboration is the old-fashioned and I love to see that the good traditions are not lost. The wine is great and as I said the guide is great makes you to participate and understand everything without problems. Recommended to visit and purchase of wines. I'll be back...

  • Great Winery. We took the tour and it was great. Noted the explanations of the guides found me excellent. We went with the children and I am sure that it is an experience you will not forget. We conclude this way a trip we made to Logroño and turned out to be the most complete.

  • It is clear that if visiting la Rioja, stop at a winery with wine tasting, it is a must. For our part, we tested the two sides of the coin. The winery big, with millions of bottles and this production, a family winery with a wine from author that we loved. So far, the Winery is a pass, and the Guide and owner of it, although it is first of all a little dry, during the visit is becoming more enjoyable and ultimately falls well. We bought several bottles and we would be happy to return.
