He had already been on two previous occasions, but this time in a visit organized in one evening with my wife, which included Wamba before the monastery and Urueña later, we enjoy a guided visit to the facilities by one of the guides who kindly volunteered to travel with us the two cloisters, the impressive Chapterhouse and the Church. Guided tour lasted half an hour we became short, and worth it by the hand of a guide like that dedicated us their time and their knowledge about the monastery.

  • I spent two years here in the agricultural training school, and I remember it as one of the best experiences of my life. The place is wonderful and the brothers who look after the monastery are charming and know each story and corner of the monastery.

  • A little history: sent him to build the infanta Doña Sancha of Castile in s. XII, although the triumphal arch that leads to the building of century XVI. In 1731, he survived a major fire that destroyed his library. In 1865, it was acquired by Angel Juan Alvarez, Marqués de Valderas, and subsequently became a center of agricultural education. In 1931 it was declared Bien de interés Cultural. In addition to visiting the building, it is very interesting to find out about the different tourist routes (to make on foot, by bike or by car) and know the environment of high scenic and historical value.
