  • Quick tour to get an overview of the eruption of 2011. The visit is interactive, and it can be done in french, English, German or Spanish. It is also a good source of information to understand the landscape and the formation of el hierro. Must be patient to make the workshop interactive in the first building, the choice of menus with flashback, is not very fluid.

  • Very interesting visit and informative on general volcanic eruptions and more importantly the recent eruption which was well documented and presented.
  • It is very didactic, is a tour where different types of lava and the different volcanic formations you can see on-site. Although we spent a little bit of heat because it did. It is best to visit it from 7 to 9 pm. By the morning not is open.

  • The vulcanology centre consists of 2 buildings separated by a short educational trail: the first building is rather general, the second particularly interesting door on the last eruption took place off the coast of La Restinga in 2011 (part of the information is available in french). Until the Restinga, the HI-4 road crosses the volcanic formations and lava fields.
