Fantastic trip, beautiful views and quite demanding. Our trip started from the directions a rented car to El Pilar, where we were about 7:30 a.m. In my opinion, the best time to start the approach in the summer. The Sun only rises, the air is cool, that in connection with a fairly steep initial approach stops tight. The first episode by Pico de Birigoyo, Montaña la Barquita, Montaña del Burro, Hoyo Negro until Montaña de las Deseadas is approximately 7.5 km approach. Starting around 7:45 on the highest point of the trail going quite fast pace we were at 10:00. The Sun was not yet strong, blew a pleasant wind and felt tired. The road is whipped cream. Only the last episode before las Deseadas is strenuous due to the black volcanic sand mixed with gravel. A further episode-las Deseadas-Montaña Cabrera-Montaña del Fuego-Area Receariva Fuente de los Roques counts approx. 6 km and there are no approaches. Although not included under the top of the trail is difficult because has a background. Goes after the black volcanic dust, and with gravel. Putting step leg collapses to the ankle and walking on the beach. In the Area the Agency (CCA 100 m steep climb down from the trail) is water, clean toilets with sinks (also for disabled guests) and tables and a barbecue area. The last episode 3.6 km to Los Canarios is a fairly steep descent and outside the previously described sand appear loose stones and rocks. The whole thing took us 5 h 15 min plus 45 minutes of rest in the Area the Agency. Los Canarios to El Pilar taxi costs €37 (taxi stand under Tourist Information) Although in the taxi terminal to handle payment cards in the El Pilar has no coverage. As to the matters to which I was looking for answers: 1. is hot? If you leave in the morning is the most exhausting approach las Deseadas do in the time in which it is not yet hot. At the top of the nicely blows. The wind blows most often from the East, so more or less from the Volcan Martin top cover a whiff and then it gets hot (the last 2.5 h descent) 2. Boots above the ankle. I didn't plan in advance of the transition the Ruta de los Volcanes and we went in the New Balance. It can be, but I do not recommend unless you like to stop every 50 m and wysypywać shoes small pebbles and sand. 3. Hat, map, food, glasses, sunscreen with a high SPF and lots of water (I work out 2, 5 l per person) in the Area the Agency can make up store. Take something sweet in the event of a niedocukrzeń. 4. The trail is very well marked. You need to get a hold of red marks. The road is also planned on the sides of the stones. 5. A place to rest the only place on the route is the Area Agency on 14 mile. Previously, you need to just stop and take a moment. Before Montaña del Fraile is a cool stone on which you can breathe. On the route you can find a few tree trunks where you can sit down. There is no garbage dumps, toilets or water shots outside the Area the Agency. To get to it you have to come down from the trail and then steeply to go back (about 100 m) 6. Is it possible to opt out in the course of the road? First you need to have a map and a good measure of force. Starting from El Pilar do worth a photo array with the phone on the taxi (+ 34674627704) Is a few go earlier (each approx. 5 km) to Mazo, Jedey, Mendo or Tigalate where you can walk to the asphalt and try to call taxi. The distance to feel in my legs, but if you have strength really worth it. Natural beauty and stunning views

-Pilar an absolute must - start at El, then one passes through worthwhile everything the island has to offer - from pine forest to volcanic rock to sand - a highlight follows another - absolutely impressive crater - felt the steep ascent to the Deseada

Route is highly recommended if you are going to the Palm. Signage is perfect and the road is very well, wide and without any great difficulty. At the beginning in the pillar there is enough rise, but when these are the black hole area already starts to lower. We did only to black hole and returned to the pillar, but we are left with the desire to make it whole, believe that it is worth. The views are spectacular and the landscape very different from what you can see in other places. We did it in about 3 hours and with running shoes and it went perfectly. We recommend sunscreen, water, something to eat and like walking
