Roque de Los Muchachos, La Palma

4.8
Roque de los Muchachos is a rocky mound at the highest point on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands, Spain. The rocks are found at an elevation of 2,423 m above sea level, not far from the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos, where some of the world's largest telescopes are situated; the altitude and the dryness of the climate here give rise to excellent observing conditions. • Great time at the top of the mountains. The path to mount drive everything above is nicer I think by the West but the roads are smaller. The view at the top is amazing, well you need to check the weather before you do this output. The market up on the Ridge lasts an hour, and will need you at least sneakers, no flip flops. Feasible for children from 5/6 years I think. Think about taking water, no store upstairs.

  • A nice place with breathtaking view! The road up to it is quite spicy because you very style goes up, but definitely worth it! Make sure you have eaten enough, because the road to it is rather tortuous. Actually I wanted them, but what am I glad I'm gone anyway! It is beautiful! Tip: take a camera along

  • Brilliant! The views on a clear day are incredible. Parking can be tricky when busy and you should be able to tell this before reaching the top, just find a spot further down the hill.
  • Don't miss this place. Essential natural wonder on the beautiful island of La Palma. Bring warm clothes, it's high !
  • Incredible views. Definitely worth the drive up to the top!
  • A fantastic place! Very nice and windy, you need to grab something warm and neproduvaemoe to put on top, because it can be cool, sometimes even snow. And, you can take the fortune cookies-Raven to feed, they are almost tame:)

  • You must visit this place if you're in the Palm. The ascent is quite heavy, thousand curves every few meters. I don't know if I would recommend it for young children. You can access with the car to almost the site. Once there, they are 5 minutes ' walk. If you have dizziness or fear of heights it is not recommended. The view is impressive. A place that leaves you breathless.
