  • Just walking around and finding this is worth it. There is little left of it but it does bring you back in time.  more »
  • A must see. Views over the olive groves and some well maintain ruins and an amphitheatre. Only 2€ entrance as well.  more »

  • Beautiful vista. Great to see first thing in the morning during the summer before the sun hits. Great views from the summit (highest tower) across Cazorla and the olive groves.
  • A visit that surprises, the girl at the entrance is very nice and told us fantastic medieval stories. You can climb with the dog. Input costs 1 euro which is worth. There is a fountain with fresh water before boarding.

  • Beautiful Templar Castle. Pity that it is little of it. The views are very beautiful

  • Site with charm, cheap entry, the guy that we attended enjoyed telling the story of the Castle (it was his last day of Guide). Spectacular, highly recommended location breathtaking views. The only thing, the ascent up to the entrance, steep, go with comfortable shoes.

  • At the foot of the Castle rises the Sierra de Cazorla. The cordillera seems to fold to the highest Tower of the fortress that sits on a rugged cliff. It was a Renaissance challenge to build it on a site like this at the beginning of the 16th century. The castle of la Iruela, which was home of the Templars during a season, has two walled enclosures and the torre del homenaje. In 1810 the building was burned down by French troops as a reprisal by the hostility from its neighbors. Two centuries later, the walls are still burning. This case with Fireworks taking place during the festivities in honor to the Virgen de los Desamparados.
