Categories: Valleys, Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web
Opening to a dramatic ocean view framed by volcanic hills on the southwest coast of La Gomera, Valle Gran Rey offers a secluded and authentic Canarian experience away from the bustle of some of the main islands. Admire the valley’s rugged surroundings and terraced hillsides as you explore its coves and hidden canyons. Go for a dip at a black sand beach, formed by volcanic rocks, or just relax along the shoreline at one of the many waterfront cafes serving coffee and seafood dishes. Discover more of the area’s natural beauty by renting a bicycle and following the many trails and pathways, or join a guided walking tour of one of the small maritime towns. The hiking trails in the upper valley are extensive, although they are not recommended for those with mobility issues, as many stretches are quite steep and rough. Before you head to La Gomera, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly La Gomera holiday planner, to make sure you see all that La Gomera has to offer, including Valle Gran Rey.
