  • The Santiago beach is not the most beautiful of the island but it is undeveloped because of the length of connection with other places on the island. The only place relatively close is the airport. As other reviews say, is more beautiful and scenic road that you must travel to get there than it is the beach that can be reached. The road is full of twists but with a perfect road surface. The beach is sheltered and not particularly crowded and also has a free shower near the road. Like everywhere in the Canary Islands near the beaches, even here the overbuilding has been felt, but less than elsewhere. Foreign tourists there are, but at least, unlike Valle Gran Rey where the first language has become German, here the first language is still Spanish. In the short stretch of waterfront there are a few bars and restaurants, but the village itself is insignificant and appears to have come up without a definite plan.
