Not for the photo or the panorama, it is a point must of the island. At the time of our visit we had the chance to find us immediately above a thick clear coat, which foreshadowed the side at times. The view is something surreal.

Not suitable for people with vertigo by its glass floor, you should go to a cloudless day or not see nothing. Pretty gardens surround it, and the only but is there to pass through between the Diners in the restaurant, which does not quiet coemn or by chance.

In my opinion, the only thing that is worth of this place is the viewpoint. The restaurant does not, and let me explain: few want to work staff. The food itself I can't speak because in the end we did not stay. We pretended to sit at a table and that table we could not sit, we had to sit in judgement of the waiter, in a table exactly the same but inside, because according to him the inside were tables "for breakfast", despite warning that it was our intention to take something and then have lunch there same. There were other tables already prepared dishes, that despite not having any sign indicating it, they were reserved. Customer service bad and bad side. Bad feeling.

  • Well worth the (somewhat twisty single track) road drive to get there! Amazing views out over the cliff and back to Tenerife. Food reasonable for what is clearly very much a tourist attraction. Great photo opportunity stood on the glass floor.
  • Really fantastic restaurant on all counts, and highly recommended to visit. You might be forgiven for thinking a place like this is just a tourist trap, you would be wrong. Everything was spot on. Starting with the welcome and the service, the waiters interacted with the customers, and I was welcomed with a handshake. Service was slick and professional. Next, the presentation. I've attached photos, the food arrived with a real wow factor. Care was taken over each plate, which were colourful and smart, while retaining a rustic edge commensurate with local cuisine. The food it's self was absolutely fantastic. Modern twists on local dishes. We had fried fresh goat's cheese 3 ways including the locally made palm honey glaze; Batatas bravas canary style; an exquisite Tomato avocado and roasted garlic salad all as fresh as you will find it anywhere in the world; and the restaurant speciality croquettes, which can be bought as singles or in 6's. We mixed and matched flavours. Finally, goes almost without saying, the view. Where else could you have lunch hanging over a cliff edge?! It was breathtaking. The price was extremely reasonable, we paid €30 for a hansom 2 course lunch for 2 with drinks. This is down as one of my favourite restaurants anywhere in the world, it is the whole package. If you get a chance to go, don't pass it up.
  • Pretty place and lot options for eating, if one likes to eat on the top with a view, this perhaps the best in la gomera. You need to reserve the best tables in advance. I enjoyed goat cheese salad and roasted milk.
  • Good for quick pitstop. Good koffie and obviously great views.
  • This is a striking piece of architecture juxtaposed against breathtaking views. The observatory is mainly a restaurant with a spectacular, vertigo-inducing, glass-bottom observation area. Come for the photo ops, stay for the food (which is surprisingly okay for such a potential tourist-trap). If you're lucky, you'll get a chance to see a live demonstration of Silbo — La Gomera's unique whistling language. If you're feeling adventurous, there is a little trail that wanders down the side of the cliff that's worth exploring.
