  • Located in the old part of Cumbres Mayores this majestic structure dates back to the 15th century with renovations and enlargements up to the 18th century and in 2003 was declared good of Cultural interest (BIC). Its slender Tower decorated with archivolts and niches in reddish colours stand out in albero color of the whole architectural. Its domes topped with delicate work of forge make this space a special place to take us some time and admire as the parish church of "San Miguel Arcángel" complements are in perfect harmony with the robustness of the Castle-fortress of Sancho IV "Bravo". If the exterior amazes, its interior is impressive. Their white domes with nerves of brick seen of mudejar style gives way to its impressive altarpiece of Baroque style late where the Golden highlight the inner lumen of the building. Their niches and columns include images of: the Christ of the beam, the image of Santa María de las Cumbres de s. XVI or pattern de el Municipio San Miguel Arcángel. This work was commissioned by Captain Juan Gómez Márquez, Indian in this town from Huelva to based in Mexico donated a large number of works of art that are part of the Treasury of silver of the Indies, the largest in the province of Huelva.
