  • After an hour we arrived in Jerez de La Frontera, famous around the world for the production of "Sherry wines", the "Bodegas of Marqués del real Tesoro" (founded in 1809, nobility since 1760, 800 hectares of vineyards) to visit and their associated stud farm, carriage and Art Museum really impressive the thousands barrels of sherry wine, the always three to five are stacked one above the other. The barrels contain 600 litres, but only up to 500 liter capacity are introduced so that the protective layer of yeast (Flor) may form on the surface. Sherry is at least 15 years, depending on the variety. It smelled in the drum bearing very good, that was no longer to beat in the bottling Hall - there is one of the smell "woozy". Before the tasting could we marvel at the breeding of the noble family with a week-long Colt of this noble breed and the carriage collection, which regularly come on various Ferias and processions to use. As well as the family-owned Museum with works by Pablo Picasso and many other artists; often related to the production of sherry. After that, we went "starved" at 15:00 with snack-tasting. We got quite a few varieties of the Fino Sherry up to Pedro Xeminez. Because they couldn't find enormous flavor differences. This, there were leather then as Jamón Iberico, chorizo, pecorino cheese, tortilla, toasts with a fresh, bread and the usual pastries such as crackers and an absolutely delicious soft cheese from sheep's milk, which has been slowly eroded from the inside to the outside; This will cost probably about €40 per piece. You can imagine what effect had the tasting of sherry in the empty stomachs... Sorry, that provides their Internet shop not in the Federal Republic of Germany. Because of flight luggage we could unfortunately only Yes a bottle "La Guita" manzanilla (15 Vol.%) and Pedro Xeminénez buy "El Contado Valdespinio" (17 Vol.%), which we tasted the best. The prices here were more than pleasant. Our tour guide surprised us in the evening with a delicious Amontillado.

  • Visit to the winery Marqués del Real Tesoro, as other visitors have described is interesting because the wineries are displayed, the largest is impressive, there are works of great artistic value, the stud is spectacular, and the Assembly line, of the most modern in the sector. By all this the summary is that is is of a winery modern with touches of history and us was quite pleasant the visit. I think that result in the already mentioned details is not necessary. To put a but, and since some have already visited other wineries in the area, tasting, found me it a little "rácana" or poor because we were 7 people to enjoy it, and removed us from the beginning, a sample of fine, cream and Pedro Ximénez. In other cellars, have given us to try, those 3, as well as Chamomile and oloroso, products that in this Winery also sold at the store, so I do not understand why not served from the beginning. Since the Group of visitors had 3 people that had been a bonus for the visit in which the oloroso wine tasting is also offered, guide was forced to remove it, but without very good face, the truth. Already of step all tried it. I believe that good policy is not so flat with merchandise that then you intend to sell at the store, it should offer a more varied tasting to try to make more business later. Is my opinion.
