  • A very old and beautiful church with a beautiful courtyard and a beautiful Elizabethan Gothic style doorway.

  • The Church is beautiful, but the nicest thing of all is the patio. From one end, there are beautiful views of the Castle. At night, all lit, is still everything more magical.

  • The Church is close to the Arabic baths and is well worth the visit because it is unique. Built on an 8th-century mosque maintains various parts like the bell tower which was a minaret and the patio. Even the four-Aisled interior is unusual. Must see if you love the old architecture.

  • Oldest and most picturesque. The temple is located in the deep Jaen. After passing through the irregular layout of the streets we find the singular stone of the past where rest and elevate the soul briefly.

  • It is the oldest church of the city, it was built on a mosque which retains the pond for ablutions and the minaret. This was subsequently reformed as tower by Andrés de Vandelvira, who added an octagonal body. The façade is Gothic style.

  • The Church of la Magdalena is safely the most ancient of the city Jaén, at least from the existing, as not in vain is it builds using a previous mosque built by Abderramán II (825). From that time include the courtyard and minaret. The Church, built in Gothic style, has four ships, one wider than the other, separated by non-aligned irregular pillars. Pilar Pilar flip bows targeted, making mating nerves lizard-shaped vaults, recalling the neighbouring legend of the flood, which supported on Corbels on the capitals. The works of interest include the polychromed carvings of Calvary, attributed to Jacobo Florentino or Jerónimo Quijano; the Christ of clemency, in Salvador de Cuéllar, in 1593, and the Magdalene kneeling, Mateo Medina, catalogued in 1572. There are remnants of Christian painting, in irregular condition. Finally, should not contemplate the two leaves of the main entrance gate, instructed to do by the Bishop Diego Tavera in 1555, still magnificent despite the passage of time. It is advisable to reach the Raudal de la Magdalena, used since the Roman age and stage of the legend of the "lizard of Jaén.
