Make up your own mind about these six mysterious lava pyramids and explore the park that surrounds them at Piramides de Guimar. Archaeologists from all over the world have an opinion on why these pyramids were created and who built them, but they have been dated to the 19th century CE. Learn about the theories at the information center through artifacts, displays, and a documentary. Three walking routes take you through the park’s gardens with information about the Canary Islands displayed along each. Be sure to check out the poisonous plants garden. The park has a cafe and souvenir shop. Very interesting, nice, well maintained. The story of the arrival of these Mayan pyramids... good assumption of course but in all cases allowed us to travel back in time. This place is also a garden of poisonous plants that we criosons every day without knowing it... a visit!

Yes, the entrance both for residents and for tourists is higher than that on other sites but each already decided if you want to pay the entry or not. The Museum/installation this very well and not only you have to see it as going to visit "the pyramids" (that whatever its origin is a fascinating structure) but discover a little more about the conquest of the Canary Islands, Thor Heyerdahl's work and see the different plants and gardens that has. Park care with benches to rest during the tour.

I've been to the pyramids with my GF because reported on driving. The site is located in the town of güímar and enjoys a wide free parking out front. The fare is different depending on what you want to visit: we did what the pyramids and the garden of poisonous flowers to 16 euros. The area is well maintained and each corner is well explained so you never get bored, also the garden of poisonous flowers is very interesting and curious.
