  • More by accident, I booked a night in a cave in Guadix and was so begeisert that I extended the stay. The reservation has prepared me at the last minute for an overnight stay on the stage at a single price 36 euro not what I got here! First of all a friendly welcome by Maria with kisses. It has two cave houses, one ahead of the local church, does she even live here and has a small gift shop; There Maria is waiting for me. The second House is Cuevas de Maria a few steps away, there she accompanied me. A gate leads to a cave complex, which includes two apartments. Front brick and with daylight Windows, the back rooms dug into the mountain and beautiful in the summer are cool. Both apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a washing machine, living room and two or three bedrooms. The apartments are furnished with everything you need, there is even a washing machine, iron and ironing board. And all the beautiful cave houses are just outside your door.

  • While in drive direction Granada we are hit by a unique view and we decide to stop. Located on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada North gaudix, is a monumental town of the province of Granada, is one of the oldest settlements on the peninsula. The highlight is undoubtedly the Barrio de las Cuevas, where you can admire the houses excavated into the rock, the famous cave houses, a hilly area where houses were built inside the caves, are 4000 caves carved over the centuries with bizarre shapes, each Hill has white houses. Currently there are about 3000 people, some very luxurious environments, there is a housing market just like normal houses and many caves have been turned into comfortable hotel, just like the one that caught our attention "Cuevas Pedro Antonio De Alarcon", an awesome place! A little gem in this country discovered by accident. If you find yourself here, we recommend to visit this wonderful place in the heart of Andalucia!
