Beautiful neighborhood of Granada to be missed! We have been here in the evening to see a flamenco show in cuevas del Gallo! Beautiful show, with 2 ballerinas a guitarist a dancer and two singers. At the end of the show came a 10/12-year-old girl started dancing: very good with movements determined but soft! Council to see the show without dinner. Who's coming to Granada has to spend an evening at the flamenco rhythm with a good cerveza to get into the mood just right of the spirit of this people. Mandatory evening!

If you go through granada you must see the sacromonte area. You have the option to upload bus c2. We climbed walk so you can see everything much better and with more detail and go by photos, that it is a good walk and all uphill! Avoid go in very hot hours. The views from the Abbey are spectacular.

I decided to climb in bus and get off walking and then the Albaizín. Pleasant walk. You should visit it if you are in Granada. It was a pity not to visit the caves of Sacromonte because it was closed for renovation. Visit obliged.

Where to stay in Granada

Granada is built in a valley looking up to the majestic Alhambra, and most visitors choose to stay where the view can be admired. Plaza Nueva, just down the hill from the Alhambra entry gates, constitutes the touristic center of the city. Many of the famous free-tapas bars and lively restaurants line this famous plaza, as well as a number of small hotels and apartment rentals. Found directly behind the plaza are the city's two historical old Moorish quarters, Albayzín and El Sacramonte, which are characterized by their narrow winding streets and picturesque whitewashed buildings. Here you'll find a number of charming hotels with hillside views of the Alhambra and city center.
