  • The Murallas del Albayzin is fascinating. Super conserved it is possible to envision a wonderful sunset and also have the view of the city. This tour is a must.

  • Still remains the walled enclosure that defiandia the city in the District of the Albaicín. It preserves several portals to facilitate wheeled vehicles pass today.

  • It was during the old Ziri dynasty, founded by Zawi Ibn Ziri, along the course of the SXI, when the city began to take importance, no doubt realized that was completely undecorated against the attacks of his enemies. Without loss of time they all got to work and created a defensive belt to all your around. The walls stretched from the gates of Monaita and weights, puerta de Elvira and others that have disappeared over time. The best preserved are the so-called the Alhacaba walls, is one of the remnants that are still on foot of the ancient Citadel Qadima. If you want to enjoy them, do so from the viewpoint of S. Christopher, (in the old road of Murcia). From this place you can see more of 35th ms. of it. We also want to inform you, is the most extensive and best-preserved stretch which runs all along the slope of the Alhacaba. It is evident and notorious that there are other remains of city walls with their respective towers, but now more scattered, for example that goes to the Church of S. Miguel Alto, visible from any height of the city.
