La Ermita de San Miguel Alto, Granada

4.7
Admire stunning vistas over the city and snowcapped mountains in distance from La Ermita de San Miguel Alto, a tiny 17th-century church built on the grounds of a Muslim watchtower. The church boasts a simple Neoclassical design with a single-balcony facade, yellow brick columns, and a bell tower. You probably won't be able to enter, but the vista will make the trip a worthwhile endeavor. • ... is at the top of people. The best views of the city, to me, are there. It is a place quite section, where there are often people walk, couples, people with instruments playing, people coming up just to be there through the afternoon... 100% recommend it.

  • The space looks abandoned, but the view is interesting because it allows you to view the Sierra Nevada from our left side and white your amazing, the atmosphere is curious because it seems like a place where young people are concentrated with an alternate aspect. Forward all over the city of Granada, not being the best place to photograph the Alhambra

  • The village itself is unspectacular, the prospect but beautifully. He is overrun much less than the Mirador de San of Nicolás, and seems rather an insider tip. The half-hour is recommended, footpath leading the country between the Sacromonte and the Ermita de San so you can connect via Miguel Alto - two sites directly, and some movement over land good for only one.

  • It is one of the best panoramic view point in Granada. It requires a quite long walk from downtown to the top. Parts of the way to reach this place is in a trail sadly full of stinky garbage and with a very poor illumination. Differently by other view points, like Mirador of S. Nicola, this is not a place in which I would go in the nighttime, definitely. The view from the top is stunning, really, but I feel it is not so safe to come here after the sunset.
  • The road is very easy and actually it is very nice to walk it all up. The view is so worth it. Along the way you can stop and admire the scenery but nothing beats the view from the top. The Church itself is nice.
  • What an awesome place ! Not only for the views but also for the walking trial back to the Albayzin neighborhood across the caves. It is really amazing and I would say wild, they are many tourists going up and down but this area still keep it essence.
  • The trail offers great views of Granada and the hills. As for the Ermita visit, the hours are a well preserved secret.
  • Most beaitiful view of Granada! Totally worth the walk/drive up. The Ermita although was closed. Even though it's a 5/5.
