  • It is a good school. All the teachers are very intelligent and kind and his books and materials helped me a lot. You have trips to interesting places every week. I improved my Spanish very much, but I need more practice.

  • I cannot say enough good things about Escuela Delengua. I picked this school because if its glowing reviews and now I'm writing a glowing review. As an older student (51) and an absolute beginner, I was looking for a month-long program in Granada that would be challenging and fun. I found exactly what I was looking for with Delengua. Great staff, instructors, and students from all over. The classes were small and the school had fun optional planned events in the evenings. I left with a fundamental understanding of basic Spanish and can communicate much better than when I started. I also left with an unexpected treat, new life-long friends. What a great place to meet like-minded people. It really was a positive experience. Both of my teachers were engaging and inspiring. They really cared about their students. I would actually consider returning for another month to take a higher level course--after I practice a lot here at home first. My experience with Delengua was positive and life-changing. Also, the school is quite affordable and Granada is a very manageable city.
  • Escuela Delengua is amazing! They were helpful and responsive to all questions big and small leading up to our trip. My husband and I attended for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time! We stayed with a host family that was set up for us by the school. Between our host family and classes, we felt that our Spanish has improved hugely- even in such a short amount of time. Granada is an amazing city and the school is perfectly located. They arrange many fun activities to help you learn about the area while practicing your Spanish. This was truly the most amazing trip and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! We hope to return again one day! :)
  • Second time at Delengua; excellent teaching, great range of after-class activities and amazing location in the Albaicin district of Granada (what seems like only a stones throw away from the Alhambra). Highly recommend.
  • The school staff was really helpful and the teachers were wonderful. Great activities were organized each day and I really enjoyed myself. The curriculum and the class segregations were well done too. Thank you!
  • Escuela Delengua is a fantastic place to study Spanish. The teachers and staff are so kind and patient that you feel 100% approaching them with any problem or just having a friendly chat. There are constantly new groups of students beginning at the school every week and, although you all have different motivations for being there, you are from different places, and you have different Spanish speaking abilities, everyone is supportive and excited to be learning Spanish in Spain. The school is also incredibly affordable, which makes it an even more appealing option. Even with the addition of private lessons the school was still less expensive than the majority of other intensive language programs in North America and Europe, yet it is also run efficiently and professionally so it is a fantastic value. The housing the school provide in shared apartments is also comfortable and the flats are located in very secure neighborhoods within Granada. I never once felt unsafe in the entire 6 weeks I spent living in the Albacín or wandering around other parts of the city, even when alone after dark. The weekly activities are a wonderful way to explore the city and make new friends, the optional weekend excursions are a great way to see other cities in Spain (and to improve your Spanish since the tours are in Spanish!), and the classes are great opportunities to converse with people at or near the same level as you. I 100% recommend Escuela Delengua to anyone of any age looking to study Spanish. You will not regret it!

Where to stay in Granada

Granada is built in a valley looking up to the majestic Alhambra, and most visitors choose to stay where the view can be admired. Plaza Nueva, just down the hill from the Alhambra entry gates, constitutes the touristic center of the city. Many of the famous free-tapas bars and lively restaurants line this famous plaza, as well as a number of small hotels and apartment rentals. Found directly behind the plaza are the city's two historical old Moorish quarters, Albayzín and El Sacramonte, which are characterized by their narrow winding streets and picturesque whitewashed buildings. Here you'll find a number of charming hotels with hillside views of the Alhambra and city center.
