  • It is not the best known places of our city and therefore, nor is it the most visited, but we challenge you to make this visit, form part of the history of Granada. It is located in the heart of the District more charming of our wonderful city, between it and the wall Ziri, very close to the square of the Christ of lilies, (which also has its beautiful history), almost bordering on the Palace of the Dar - al - Horra. This embellished and recently restored and now houses the center of interpretation of the water. It is the largest of the Muslims of Granada, dating back to the SXI, cisterns in your basement is this wonderful water tank, that fed on a branch of the acequia de Aynadamar coming from large supply (Alfacar), has a capacity of 300 M3, consists of four ships and currently its vaults are within the Carmen of the cistern of the King Badis, Zirid dynasty of. Its mission was to supply water dependencies and at the same time watering their gardens. We advise you, guided tour, make it Monday through Friday mornings. It is worth.
