Put on your hiking boots and head to Roque Nublo, a massive monolith that’s one of Gran Canaria's famous landmarks. This formation was created by a volcanic eruption several million years ago. For fascinating extra details, hire a guide to take you on the trail. Shorten your hike by driving to a nearby parking lot and walking to the site from there. Be sure to bring water and food for a picnic. Put Roque Nublo into our Tejeda tour planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Tejeda.

Beautiful views and hiking does not require above-average abilities. You have to bring water and wear appropriate footwear and a sweatshirt to have as it's in the mountains-the conditions are subject to change at any time.show original
We loved this place, we came here this week, didn't know what to expect, didn't wear the best walking foot wear, but we made it to the top with ease. Fantastic views, so peaceful and relaxing once at the top. Highly recommend a trip to hear. We hired a car for a week which only cost a few euros more than the organised trip would have done. And very easy to do by yourself.
Go. Driving on the highway getting there is a treat all on its own. Wow GC60. Upon arrival you have to embark on an hours long hike in what seems to be a forest. Like everytting in life, t'is the journey and not the destination.
The walk took us about 1 hour 30 minutes from the small car park on the GC-60. Amazing scenery all the way up, possibility the highlight of our week in Gran Canaria.
Amazing place. When planning the trip we were a little bit worried about how to get there but all you need is to follow the road signs. There is a small car park where you can leave your car for free but it can be full during the day. Comfortable shoes and a jacket are recommended but we saw a few people with slippers and they made it too :) You can see the Tenerife island with its highest mountain - Teide.
Awesome hike with heart melting views over gran canaria and teneriffe
