Patronat Call de Girona, Girona

(4.7/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web)
Navigate the cobblestone paths and alleys of one of Europe's best-preserved Jewish ghettos, Patronat Call de Girona. Until the expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492, Girona was home to Catalonia's second-most prominent Jewish community. Explore Calle de la Força, the main street of the neighborhood, and the narrow corridors that branch from it. Make sure you also check out the ruins of the Torre Gironella and the Arab Baths. For context, pay a visit to the Museu d'Història dels Jueus de Girona to learn all about medieval Jewish life in the quarter. Make Patronat Call de Girona a part of your Girona vacation plans using our Girona itinerary maker.

  • The Call is the name given, in Catalonia, the Jewish bar. Girona is one of the best preserved in Spain, and is a delight to stroll through its streets. It is a walk through the past and one of the essential visits in the city.
