  • I have always defended the tourist who comes to visit in Asturias that the beauty of this region is not precisely in the great cities of the central area of the Principality, but in its rural districts. But if in your visit to our land makes stop in Gijón, La labor, best known affectionately as "Uni" must be one of those must-see. It is an impressive building of classic cut, but with some modern elements, perhaps the last great work of classical architecture in Europe, and until the construction of the T4 of Barajas, was the largest building in Spain. Originally conceived as a miner orphanage, starting its construction in 1948 and played this interrupted and leaving it unfinished in 1957. And it worked well for several years, as one of the great works of Franco's paternalism. Because in a democracy and even today it remains a study center, where there are several specialties of FP as University. To part it houses one of the largest in Europe and the viewpoint of its Tower offers stunning views of all Council of Gijón. There are guided tours that teach us several units of the Center and explain its interesting history. Although just nowhere in the city is there are several bus lines that take us there from the center of Gijón. And if in your visit you have 2 or 3 free hours is recommended in Gijón, a part of the old town of Cimavilla.

  • I've been several times in concerts and plays. The venue is impressive and a plus is the large free car park.

  • One of the most characteristic of Gijón. It is opposite the botanical gardens so you can leverage the morning or the afternoon. This far from the Centre but this well connected. A penalty not having been able to upload to the viewpoint of the Tower since it is not open every day.

  • Construction of impressive beauty essential visit if you are in Gijón. When you enter will give you the feeling of being in Rome. It is the great unknown for tourism and at the same time which gives greater satisfaction of having visited. You can not miss this visit when you're in Gijón.
