  • The Guide "Pili" makes a very special visit, explaining the history of the cooperative since its inception and integrating it in the history of the region. Very unique building. If bad weather is no miss the guided tour with wine tasting. Recommended the ticket set if is wants to spend time in the region. Pure history of Catalonia.

  • The Celler Coooperatiu of Gandesa is a beautiful modernist-style building (no more build the year 1920) designed by the architect César Martinell. He is considered to be one of the cathedrals of wine and is a Cultural asset of national interest of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The building is really beautiful inside and out, and is very well preserved. Guided tours lasting more than one hour and are very interesting, talking about wine but it is also situated in its historical context, with references to the Spanish civil war, which caused great havoc in the region and also in the cooperative of Gandesa. The guide who accompanied us made us very welcome visit and was willing to answer multiple questions that arose. At the end of the visit we could make a wine tasting that, of course, you can buy there. It is hard to resist buying. Photographs can be made during the visit and he is recommended to go a little warm, because it is a rather cool. It is ideal for lovers of wine, history and photography (really spectacular photos can be made). Fully recommended and essential if becomes a journey through the Terra Alta.
