Mirador Morro Velosa reviews
one of the highest summits in Fuerta, there is a parking and you can climb up to see a great view, not open every day more »
Friday 13th November and we came across this is a scenic view point, on the top of Morro de la Cruz, while driving from Valle de Santa Ines to Betancuria. The road leading up to the Mirador is... more »
We visited the view point several times - the first time it was shrouded in clouds and looked very mysteriuous. The second time the sun was out and you could see very far. more »
Located 2000ft (686m) ASL, it's a stunning place. The views are spectacular and the photographic opportunities are great. There is plenty of parking but it can get a bit crowded on popular sunny days. The feeling when the clouds roll in round the valleys below you is awesome. A great to place to also bring a drone. Very popular and the museum is a good look around too, very informative. A good place to visit.
There are outstanding views of Northern Fuerteventura from this purpose built viewing area. The building is modern and has plenty of interesting information boards and displays about the island, including its wildlife, geology and history. Several large windows offer an almost wrap view. From this vantage point flat plains and mountains can be seen to the North (towards the sea), East (towards Corralejo) and the South (centre of the island) Cold drinks, coffee and light snacks are served here with a nice seating area at the central viewpoint window. Amenities are also available on site and plenty of car parking.
Fantastic views. Informative displays. Coffee shop closed for some reason which is a shame. Can hear the staff making themselves cups of coffee while we sit in the abandoned cafe. Feels like they are letting this place deteriorate. Also they have stopped playing the contemplative music so there's no atmosphere to enhance the views. Would still recommend for the views though.
Oh my word the view is spectacular! The road up is closed on sat afternoon and Sunday so it's a good steep walk and the cafe at the top is unfortunately shut on sundays but it's worth it for the view! Awesome!!!
Good food, great views, and an interesting exhibition.
