On top of a 38 m (125 ft) hill stands the . The castle was originally built in 956 CE, although most of what stands today was built by the Almoravides in the 12th century. Walk around the ruins and imagine what life would have been like here over the centuries. Climb the towers and be granted superb views of the sea and surrounding countryside. Visit the small museum to learn more about the history of the castle. There is a steep walk up to the site.   • We were and he agreed that it was the medieval market. The environment is ideal so the experience was very good. It should arrive soon because parking does not help much, but worth it.

  • Beautiful castle although very reformed. It dominates all Fuengirola. The entrance is free and free. Be accessible, though with difficulty, all the battlements and towers. Fantastic views.

  • Was here 2012. Wonderful view from the top over the town and out to sea. Real cannons there too from time. Worth the couple of Euro admission. Do remember to have good walking shoes on though.
