  • The white Church of Frigiliana has a simple Interior and from the ruins of Sue on a rock above the village there is a beautiful view on the Church roof. Buses run (autocares Fajardo) starting from 1 euro to Frigiliana and Nerja for back. Diensregeling on door buses but not at bus stop.

  • The plain white facade and simple design of this little church bely the ornate shiny alter and religious artefacts that are inside. The ceiling is made of wood and it has all been cared for and preser...  more »
  • We were strolling through the village and entered the Church, which has a lot of charm. Upon leaving, we were looking for some souvenirs and Ana Rosa shop fulfilled all our expectations and more. The landlady, Ana Rosa called is a charm of women and has real jewels in the shop. It is ideal to take memories with this fairytale village

  • The Church of San Antonio de Padua, located in Calle Real, was built in the 17th century on the site of an old mosque. Its bell tower is the former minaret of the mosque. It is a lovely looking building. A little plaza faces the church and one can avail oneself of a drink or food from the cafe/restaurant opposite.
  • Nice modern church.
  • Nice.
  • Built in 1676. Wooden door by which we access the interior is Bartolomé de la Cruz, 1859, as the inscription on the same. The Church has an interesting mudejar coffered ceiling. As references, to the left of the main altar, under the figure of a Nazarene, we find an urn with the masks of the twelve apostles who accompanied Jesus at the last supper; to the right of the main altar, under the figure of San Antonio de Padua, we found a reliquary with a bone fragment that is holy.

  • It is erected in honor of San Antonio de Padua and was built in 1676 on an ancient Muslim mosque and later Christian Chapel. Like most monuments of Frigiliana, was built by the Manrique de Lara, Lords of the town since 1640. Its structure of plant in Latin cross that has 3 naves separated by semicircular arches, highlights the Renaissance elements. On the main façade can see the coat of arms of the Bishop Fray Alonso de Santo Tomás. There is also an interesting cancel, woodcarving and realized by Bartolomé de la Cruz Arjona, when he was only 23 years old. In addition to interesting sample of the Andalusian popular devotional images, you can enjoy the famous 12 masks of the Apostles who carry during Holy week.
