The Dali Museum is an enlightening experience that is a fantastic tourist destination. With over a hundred pieces from surrealism in drawing to portrayal of life through rocks there is beauty in everything Dali does. I particularly like the surreal drawings. There is his famous wall to wall painting of a naked girl that from far away is the portrait of Abraham Lincoln. This is a wonderful museum for art lovers and non art lovers alike and should be near the top of every list for places to go.
I loved this museum. It's a perfect combination of paintings and sculptures/installations. His ideas are truly extraordinary. The museum does get very busy, and even on a Monday in the off season, we had to book a time slot online in advance (so I couldn't use my student discount) and also queue to get in. Go in with an open mind and a sense of humour.
Was well worth driving 150 km to see. If you are even just vaguely interested in surrealism, this museum is a must. And, it is more than just a normal museum. First of all, it was created by Dali himself. The pieces of art span his entire career and goes well beyond paintings. So.... se it !
This was an amazing day out. So much to see and explore. Phenomenal artwork; even got my parents to enjoy it thoroughly (and they dont get art at all!). Plenty to see and a lovely local area. Cannot fault it in any way. Absolutely recommend.
Really the THEATER-museum. Every corner attracts your attention, every little thing has its own history of creation. Without a doubt Dali was a genius! It's better to visits the museum early in the morning. If you have time to read more about his creativity, it'll be even more interesting.
