  • A very good place for approaching its terraces or stroll along the port saw a large number of small traditional wooden boats. Flanked by two ancient and beautiful military buildings, the headquarters of instruction and the bastion of San Xoán. Although the views of the estuary are hidden by the port facilities, we can approach baluarte de San Xoán or a viewpoint which is at the left end of the port, next to the dam of the curtain (a gunship defensive dam that still retains some old cannons), from where have a very good view of the river. The terraces of the port are very nice, but if you want to try local cuisine there is a small bar in the port, called Tavern Anca where the best choco has ever tasted you can take, as well as other delicacies.
