  • As you go through the town of Estepona runs you come without saying various apartment block groote murals. Brilliantly done! At the Oficina de Turismo is a hiking route available where they all on it. Recommended!

  • To see good paintings not always it is necessary to go to a Museum, just take a stroll through the streets of Estepona. There are currently about 50 murals on facades of buildings and I think all are worth to be seen. If already it seemed a luxury walk around this town by its peculiar streets full of pots, plazas and manicured gardens, murals make it even better to walk the streets.

  • The murals are scattered around the old town. The change of some crossed out as canvas background, and their meanings are really worthy of admiration. A different look for the view both for young people and for adults.

  • The route of the murals - one of the great sights of the province of Málaga! A Spanish national daily recently described the town of Estepona as an open-air art museum. There are over 30 (depending on how you count them, as many are on two or more adjoining buildings) of these gigantic murals around the town. Different styles, by different artists, but all quite amazing. Breathtaking, in fact! My personal favourites are the beautiful trompe-l'oeil murals on either side of the Orchid House, whereas others I am very fond of because i saw them being painted. That is an amazing sight! With a brush the size of something I would use to sweep my kitchen, the delicate details were added at a rate of knots. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, i wouldn't have believed it! Here is a list of all the murals that you can see while strolling around the town. I suggest that you get from the Tourist Office in the Plaza de las Flores (or download it from their website) the map “Ruta de los Murales” which shows where they are all situated. You can then work out your own route. I have given the murals below the same number as on the Tourist Office map. An extra 11 were painted in July 2017. Here is my suggestion for a route round the murals. Starting from where you are now, on the big Avenida Juan Carlos just past Carrefour, on the right you will start by seeing mural number 13, over the road. Then work your way with your map: 13 – 27 – 8 – 6 – 7 – 10 – 11 – 12 – 14 – 15 – 16 – 17 – 18 – 19 – 20 – 21 – 21 – 22 – 23 - 28 You can find out more about each mural by looking at my individual reviews on Google Maps. Just put “Mural” in front of a name, e.g. “Mural la poda de la buganvilla”. It is a spectacular walk to do, taking about two hours if you stop and stare and take a photo. 1 “QUIJOTE DEL SIGLO XXI” by Curro Leyton. Calle Eslovaquia 2 “ÁNGEL, EL BUCEADOR” by Eric Aman. Or just read it on your phone. Happy mural hunting!
  • When you get your first sight of some of these murals it's a jaw dropping occasion. At first you can't believe your eyes, they seem so lifelike, especially the ones all around the Orchidarium (Orchid House). We spent the morning of one less-than sunny day following the recommended walk in the review by reviewer Jennifer Longhurst. It took us just over 2 hours, not counting two stops for coffee etc. The etc. were very good, by the way! It was very interesting to see the different styles, and some were just spectacular. The children enjoyed the trip too, they were reading the map for us on a phone to follow the suggested walk. Yet another PLUS for Estepona!
  • Great opportunity to enjoy the streets of Estepona in addition to the artistic murals 29 (until today because continue creating) in several locations in the town. Different pictorial styles and local currents of different local artists and not about urban art. Totally recommended! A good hike if done in a day, practically have to navigate all the people.
