  • Very interesting for people with knowledge of Botany or for you who like everything to do with the flora. It has been a success because they have opened a green lung in the city.

  • . . Wow! Wow, wow, wow, WOW! This will be your reaction when you first see the Orchid House from the street. Then as you walk up the steps and see the beautiful fountains, and the cascades on either side, you'll have another Wow! moment. Then when you get inside . . . The soaring domes, the sound of the giant waterfall, the sight of the beautiful flowers and plants . . . breath-taking is not the word for it. And the amazing thing is that just a year and a half ago it was all a big hole in the ground! N.B. the waterfalls are not on all the time - they currently (summer 2016) are turned on for 5 minutes at the hour and half hour. OPENING HOURS (summer - may change in winter so check) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 11 to 15 h and 18 to 23h. Sunday 11 to 15 N.B. Monday closed. Entry charge €3 for adults, €1 for children 5+. (Local residents can get 2 free entries per year). The whole place is full of superlatives. * Biggest Orchid House in Europe. * Biggest glass dome in Spain. * Most varieties of orchids in one place * Tallest indoor waterfall And so on . . . And another BIG WOW! for the fabulous, FABULOUS murals painted on the apartment blocks on either side. Look closer - are those palm trees and flowering plants real or painted? Is there really a terrace there? Surely those giant flower pots cannot be real? I just love them all! There is no way that you can afford to miss this! In fact - come twice, so that you can see it at night, all lit up, with the colours changing like a rainbow. Like something out of Science Fiction! Wow, wow, wow, WOW!
  • I love orchids and the Estepona Orchidarium contains some truly fantastic specimens! Website stated free entry however we were charged 3€ each (not sure if they're mugging off tourists or just need to update website). Would probably visit again when it's a bit more established, it's only a year old which is hard to believe walking through but there are areas still being worked on. Sited in central Estepona, it's a great place to stop by for (up to) an hour depending on how into orchids you are, before walking through the town for a spot of shopping or lunch. CHECK OPENING HOURS BEFORE VISIT! Closed Monday's and between 3pm and 6pm most other days.
  • We visited the place a couple of days ago and were surprised with everything we never associated with orchids. A small and very nice botanic garden with lots to experience. Worth a couple of hours visit.
  • Small but great place to visit, beautiful flowers and well laid out
  • One tiny problem, No orchids! The building (new last year) is under major repair! We counted eight orchids! They bloom year round so whatever the problem is, it's serious. Entry is free, it's too expensive!
