La Granja, Esporles
(3.8/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Perched in the foothills of the Tramontana mountains, La Granja is a working 17th-century farm and estate. The site passed through the hands of the Romans, Moors, feudal Christians, and the Cisterian monks before its acquisition by its current owners, the Fortuny family. Today, it exists as a living museum of traditional Mallorcan culture and craftsmanship. Inside, you will find carefully preserved antique furnishings and craftsmen at work in trades such as blacksmithing, Spanish grasswork, and tanning. A stroll through the gardens reveals elm trees, fragrant rosemary, a 9.1 m (30 ft) natural spring, and local animals like the Mallorca goat and black pig. Don't forget to sample the traditional Mallorcan fig bread, bunnelos, and fig and apricot jams made on site. To visit La Granja on your trip to Esporles, use our Esporles vacation generator.

  • We depart regularly for years to Mallorca and then whatever La Granja visit. Who has never been to this beautiful place, should include it anyway in his vacation plans. This old manor house from the 17th century includes a very interesting Museum, which reflects the life of the past. The craftsmanship, like Goldsmith, blacksmith... and also a doctor's Office, hairdresser, winegrowers weaving are situated on this magnificent. The old living quarters with the nurseries, the old toy and also kitchen, beautifully decorated en suite bathrooms can immerse ourselves in the past. Especially for children, it is a beautiful hike. There are goats, horses and other animals and Muli. Today you can be something to eat on the terrace in a beautiful environment, or drink and enjoy the beautiful garden. We know very well the Museum as we were with family and friends often spot and repeatedly, you can discover something new.

  • Us has left stunned find so many gadgets of its time that colman each stay of the farm, both in the interior as in the exterior. There is can observe of principle to end as is carried to out them professions that is carried to out there. Foreign as them agricultural of cut straw, Potter, laundry, dry cleaning, blacksmith, coal... as them interior of tailoring, office and pharmacy medical, tinsmith, presses of came and oil, carpentry, tanners, jewelry and casting, looms, cheese factory, prison and room torture,... It is huge, is like a city in a single building. After the tour you can put boots drinking red wine and sweet, as well as eating doughnuts, figs, cheese from Mahón, sobrasada,... The only thing that has let us down is to not be able to enjoy equestrian show and exhibition of handicrafts for not being high season; then we pay the price of the ticket completely.
