  • Good choice for a rainy day if you are in the area. The visit is guided and costs €3 per person. In our case, the guide was very good and made us very entertaining visit. The cave is original and curious paintings. It is recommended to go with children.

  • It is an unknown cave. The drawings are not much, but just to see the place and the cavity, it is worth. The price is reasonable, about €3 with guided tour. It is closed on Mondays

  • Had been to visit the caves of El Castillo and did not know that wait for us. It is a different, totally different Cave of the Cantabrian cornice that I already know. The Guide, Alberto, perfect! Did us enjoy the cave as ever, note that it loves the cave and his work, onala all lps guides were like him. It is not comko the Castle or the coins, but it is spectacular when they where paintings and look for the entry already think to repeat because we leave enchanted and also we were only 5 in the visit. It was the best of the day

  • Amazing trip. Dirt cheap at 3 euros. The guide Oscar was very informative. A must visit.
  • In the heart of the Camargo valley, near the village of Escobedo we find one of many caves in Cantabria. This cave is not suitable for very young children or physically disabled persons. Access is via a cobblestone path which descends a couple of hundred metres into the valley where the opening of the cave is found. Small groups of a maximum of 12 or so people are permitted access accompanied by a guide. Not as rich in the number of paintings as Altamira but namely more important because the 25m painting frieze was executed in a with amazing skill at the bottom of the cave. It is difficult to determine with any precision the age, would seem to be in an ancient period, around 20,000 B.C. They are currently continuing to excavate with extraordinary results. This site is rich in archaeological finds, many of which have revealed and shed light upon our distant ancestors. You are advised to book in advance and to take some warm clothing with you as the temperature inside of the cave is about 9 degrees centigrade.
  • Impressive cave with cave paintings included. I would say that it is a must-see. The guide is very friendly and very well explained. The cave is a huge cavity with thousands of years of history, all accesses are very well prepared with walkways and railings.

  • Highly recommended visit. It is a pleasure to both observe the cave and everything is like listening to the guides. I think it is important to say that the access by car is a little complicated to go along a single road of return in the two cars passing hard, however, as the cave is visited by session is unlikely to find a car's front. Ultimately, well worth making the road to visit such wonder.

  • The cave is pretty okay visit, but cave Guide did not want to make the visit at the agreed time and saving it is (stayed in the dugout with the phone) making us wait one hour there to join us at the next visit.
