Jardín Huerto del Cura, Elche

4.5
A landscaped garden that's been cultivated since the 19th century, Jardín Huerto del Cura is ribboned with stone walkways lined with plants. The gardens are dense, with species of fauna that run the gamut from lush trees and palms to stout, spiky cactus. In the center, at the edge of manmade duck pond, is a gazebo with cushioned lounge chairs. Make the most of the small entry fee by bringing a snack to enjoy in the gazebo. • Nice and quiet walk through a nice garden / palm grove, depending on the season more or less quiet due to the number of visitors.

  • This garden is unique and worth the trip to Elche alone. A collection of several species of beautifully landscaped palms and cacti.

  • The entrance, more than 5o. I ask you for the guidance in Valencian (OFFICIAL LANGUAGE) and they say that they will NOT publish it in that language but in Russian. Small and cycling park with a very tight sample of palm trees of the world; I think that's the idea. The sink smelled bad and the front door was NOT working. Only the imperial palm (in a frankly worrying state) is worth it. The lady of the shop did take care of us well and in the native language.

  • Beautiful garden. Lot of different kind of palm trees and also many cactus plants. Entrance 5,50€. Worth of the money if you do like places like this.
  • This is a lovely garden which i think cost 3 euros admission. It's very well layed out with easy to follow signs, all numbered so you don't miss anything. The trees and plants are very impressive and we saw mandarin ducks, turtles and white peacocks. A lovely place to take children for a couple of hours. There is a gift shop which sells snacks and drinks but no cafe. Toilet facilities within the garden which are very clean. Parking is not easy or very close but we parked just up the road outside the police station in a nice car park. Only a short walk.
  • Incredible array of palm trees and cacti. So peaceful to walk around and beautifully kept. Will definitely return
  • An oasis in the middle of the city. A cool respite and meditative area with various collection of plants. I especially love the towering palm trees. Not a crowded place, just enough people.
  • Really fun experiance. Me and my family enjoyed it a lot. (The children in the family (including me) are all between the ages of 14 and 17) It was one of the highlights of our vacation. They also sell birdseeds so u can feed the animals :)
