Aqualand El Arenal, El Arenal

#1 of 13 in Things to do in El Arenal
Aqualand El Arenal provides a world of watery thrills. Careen down waterslides, splash in an array of swimming pools, and ride inner tubes down river rapids. Steep drops, completely dark tunnels, and fast bends are just a few of the features you’ll encounter on the rides here. Children can enjoy smaller slides and a water playground in Kidzworld, and the wave pool serves up 1-m (3-ft) breakers. Buy tickets online for discounts. • We went on an organised trip with Tui, didn't have a good day: Bus was 30 mins late. Travel rep was very disorganised and we waited another 30 mins for the tickets. We eventually got in the park just ...  more »
  • After reading the negative reviews on this site we were hesitant to go there! In the end we have had a great day. The Park was clean. The staff was correct (they still spend the day standing at 35 degrees, some even in the Sun without shade, so a lack of smile in the late afternoon is very understandable to me...) The attractions are good. The cobra is a definite must! Fast-pass pays for itself quickly, I recommend it. It's better to take a picnic because prices are expensive. A locker for 2 people has agreed us widely. That said, a very large number of people in the Park in did not, leaving their business (towels, bags etc) on the lawn (with or without monitoring, no one seemed to have had a problem) a day which I good memories

  • Visited with my son last week. When we arrived it was obvious that the fast pass lines were moving much quicker than the free lines. Most rides were fine for him on his own. The king cobra ride was fo...  more »

  • Fun water park with lots of different kinds of slides and pools. Spent a good few hours here. Only things to look out for are the prices of food and additional costs. No prices on the menu so you do end up paying a fair bit but it is good quality food and wont be disappointed. Also additional prices for lockers and use of sun loungers but there are plenty of grass areas to sit without paying. My only issue was the new "mad lab" ride. I went down on the mat as instructed but it was not efficient for the kind of ride. I slid all over inside the tunnels and ended up hitting my jaw, shoulder, ankler and elbow. No permanent damage but my ankle swelled and bruised and my elbow cut and bled. All other slides were fun and pain free and all in all a really enjoyable day.
  • We spent a day at Aqualand for the penultimate day of our holiday. We enjoyed all the slides, which ranged from family affairs to high octane thrillers! I will list off some of the negative points, as well as trying to expand on some of the things other reviewers have touched upon. 1. Food and drink No prices are displayed on the food and drink kiosks, so you don't know what you're spending until you've ordered it. We chose a small plate of chicken strips and chips, which cost over 10€, and a drink, which set us back a further 4.80€. That was somewhat painful. 2. Added charges There are a couple of things that you do have to pay for that one is simply not able to get round. The most obvious of these is parking. Parking is 5€. You must also (if you don't want to risk losing all your stuff!) pay 7€ for a locker, of which 2€ is returned upon repatriation of the key at the end of the day. And then perhaps the most contentious subject of them all is the Fast Track pass, at 12€, which I will touch upon below. TO BE CONTINUED
  • If you don't get a fast pass at this venue you are made to feel like a second class citizen. The system doesn't work the same as other parks and you are left waiting in the queue despite rings & mats piled up just waiting for fast pass users to sweep straight past you all when they feel like it. We had to queue for an hour to get on a slide that lasted 10 seconds !! By the time we realised how unfair the system works it was lunchtime & wasn't worth forking out another £48 for the afternoon. Considering how busy it was & how much money they are making the site was a bit run down & some of the rides were not fully operational. Will not be returning.
  • This is a big, proper water park with slides for all. Get there early to avoid queues for a while, which do get long. Highly recommend the fast pass as although you have to queue it halves the time you have to wait, which can be long. Save some money by putting a towel down on the grass rather than hiring sunbeds.
  • Not bad for a day out if you like that sort of thing. Food is expensive and quite low quality... Basic fast food. I'd recommend you take a picnic or just rough it. Good for older kids there are height restrictions on a lot of rides though.
