Parque Natural de la Serra Gelada, El Albir

Categories: Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web
Rising abruptly from the plain of Benidorn, Alfaz del Pi, and Altea is Parque Natural de la Serra Gelada, one of the most striking examples of Valencian coastal mountains. Walk or bike the well-marked pathways up to the old stone lookout tower or the lighthouse. Enjoy views of the blue Mediterranean, the town of Albir, and the rocky outcrop of Penyal D'Ifach. Get a good look at fossil dunes, caves, and trace fossils as you walk. There are also views of rocky underwater reefs and sandy shores when you look down. There is very little cover on the hike, so bring sunscreen and a hat. Bring your own water as well, as there's none on the trails or at the top. See Parque Natural de la Serra Gelada and all L'Alfas del Pi has to offer by arranging your trip with our L'Alfas del Pi itinerary maker.

  • Ideal for disconnecting of the city. You can walk or bike from Altea. It has bays which can be accessed through hidden paths. Incredible views to the sea and the rock. I love to come with my partner and my dog whenever I can. There is a small area with a couple of tables at the beginning of the trail.
