Denia Castle and Archaeological Museum educates about the development of the Denia from the 2nd century BCE up to the 18th century and provides commanding views over city and the sea. The castle itself retains a number of notable features, including two guard towers, one made of red sandstone and dating to the 15th century, and the other going back to Muslim rule during the 12th century. The Portal de la Vila entrance gate finely exemplifies the Almohade style. Inside the museum, view displays of excavated artifacts and explore the grounds and excavation site of the Renaissance-era castle. • What beautiful! Surprisingly Castle right in the busy Denia. Beautiful views! Working on renovations, that does not interfere. On almost the highest point a quiet café with delicious peace and beautiful views!
