Lanzarote Aquarium, Costa Teguise

2.7
#4 of 7 in Zoos & Aquariums in Canary Islands
Zoo / Aquarium Nature / Park
Lanzarote Aquarium, the biggest aquarium in the Canary Islands, contains 33 tanks and hundreds of species. Look for species local to the islands, like the tiger fish. Check out the sharks from the underwater tunnel, although the huge ray may steal the show. Stroke the starfish and sea cucumbers. After seeing their display of garbage collected from the beaches of Lanzarote, you be inclined to pick up any trash you find on the sand. If you’re interested in diving with sharks, contact them about the advanced diving course in their tanks. Make Lanzarote Aquarium a centerpiece of your Lanzarote vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Lanzarote vacation trip planner.

  • We were staying round the corner at Los Zocos so only a couple of minutes walk. On arrival it's quite uninspiring and looks a little run down but we were there so carried on in. The pricing is at the ...  more »
  • Felt this place was rather overpriced to say you can walk around it in half an hour! The signs about what was in the tanks also didn't seem to match up on some of the displays.  more »
  • Me and my boyfriend travelled on the bus from Puerto Del Carmen to visit this aquarium, although it doesn't take long to get around the whole aquarium we thoroughly enjoyed it and it was very interest...  more »

  • Loved the aquarium. Some fabulous sea creatures inside, with a wealth of knowledge and the giant stingray is surely the star of the show. It was €37 for 2 adults and a 5 year old - don't be put off as it is a little small and has only 3 small zones. It is well worth the entry fee and it's something great to do if the sunshine has deserted you or even if you want to get the kids out of the midday sun.
  • A good range of fish and other critters in very well-kept tanks. Inclydes mall sharks, large and small rays, sea horse, turtles. It's a small aquarium and takes about 30 minutes for adults to go round. There are things for kids to do but I didn't look closely, as didn't have kids worth us.
  • Nice little aquarium! Not quite what we expected as was alot smaller then we thought but it was nice and cheap to kill some time in a morning :) loved the sea turtle sanctuary!
  • Lover of animals and this is the 1st aquarium I've been too. It is well kept place and good for the price. Can see that the animals are taken care of and that some have been saved. Love the sting rays. Would go again at a later date.
  • Well kept aquarium with well laid out display tanks. We spent over two hours watching the fish, which offered very good value for the admission cost. Our four year old daughter was entranced!
