  • Maybe August is not the ideal month to travel this beautiful bike path, 35 degrees feel all afternoon. We opted to do the route in the opposite direction than recommended by Guide and locals: from Puerto Serrano in the morning is easier to deal with a moderate but steady climb until Olvera. 36 km without ever finding a dining area open! In those meetings (closed) there is however the possibility to have clean water to drink and cool off. Even at Olvera everything "serrado", just a drinks machine coin operated (obtainable). The 36 km of re-entry are more sustainable! Wonderful experience, great scenery, fascinating the glow-in-the-tunnel passage (in both directions), the Griffins in flight and suspension bridges along the trail. Exhausting but also because it is not supported by services!
