  • In a 10-day walking holiday in Tenerife, la Playa Diego Hernandez (also known as Playa Blanca) was the only one who deserved a second visit! Just 10 minutes by car from the devastation of Playa de Las Americas with its fake bays, white sand beach paradise is located 20 minutes ' walk away from any building! In fact, access is permitted only following a series of trails along an incline, nothing impossible as long as you find the quickest! We parked near a golf course at a resort and we followed the same network golf until reaching the top of the escarpment. From there you can catch the trails that reach the beach. On the rocks that surround or overlook the Bay you will find several tents of people who decided to encamp them directly. I think we live also a community of people that remains fixed in a camp and created a little bar where they sell beer and mojitos! Know that I would have brought a tent because the experience of sleeping on the beach must be incredible. The Bay is formed by two small coves separated by some rocks and in times of low tide you can switch from one to the other walking right on the sand. The beach further South, being more hidden, is also the most beautiful and deserted (middle of August at 5 pm we were less than a dozen people). When we came back the second time was Saturday, and sincerely do not recommend over the weekend. Not so much for people but because they Park in front of the boat loads of tourists and also of the party boat with loud music that ruin wild atmosphere of the Bay. Like all beaches in Tenerife attention to tide: position yourself as close as possible to the rocks for not having to move as you raise the sea! The best beach in South Tenerife and probably the best anywhere on the island!

  • After touring many beaches in the South of the island, all the same with super hotels and buildings arriving almost in the water, I finally found a beach worth call as well! The water is clean and the atmosphere is wonderful! 20-minute walk though it's certainly worth it. Relax yourself and enjoy the Kaleta!

  • Really nice, albeit along route, is really fascinating. Although it is not officially a nude beach ... Nudism is very popular!

Where to stay in Adeje

While Adeje is characterized for its abundance of beach and golf resorts, many people often overlook the area's charming old town. Set back from the coast on a hillside, the town offers an escape from the hectic beachfront tourism and offers numerous options for affordable accommodation. Explore the traditional restaurants and family owned shops of the old town before hopping on one of the frequent transport buses down to the beach.
