Sinagoga, Cordoba
(2.9/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
Visit Sinagoga to see one of the most well-preserved Jewish history sites in Spain. Located in Córdoba’s renowned Jewish Quarter, the 14th-century synagogue features Mudéjar-style plasterwork and detailing throughout the main hall, women’s area, and courtyard. Marvel at the three decorative arches that overlook the prayer room in the women’s gallery and the original Hebrew inscriptions that adorn the walls of the main hall. Relax for a few moments in the tranquil garden courtyard, enjoying the afternoon sun. The synagogue is free of charge but visiting hours are limited, so check the website before you go. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Cordoba holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Sinagoga and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • A small synagogue. Not it seemed nothing special compared to others I've seen. At least the entrance was free.

  • Like all the spaces dedicated to meditation/religion retains its charm though is a place only for tourists. The neighborhood with its tiny streets has on the pavement the symbol of the Jewish community of Spain and the statue of Maimonides

  • Besides the precious excellent accesses, is full of shops of artisans of different artistic branches, although I think that the selling price are rather high.

  • Small, not much too see. No stories. Nothing to read. Forgettable. Go 50 meters further (Maimonides).
  • I didnt know anything about what happened to theJewish population during the Spanish and Cordoban Inquisition. Learned a lot with the hand out. Take the time to read and educate yourself. Artifacts didn't interest me much though.
  • Small sinagogue but worth visit... streets around are very nice and worth the walk
  • It's pretty but quite small. No need for entrance fee
  • Muy bonita!
