Sinagoga, Cordoba
(2.9/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
Visit Sinagoga to see one of the most well-preserved Jewish history sites in Spain. Located in Córdoba’s renowned Jewish Quarter, the 14th-century synagogue features Mudéjar-style plasterwork and detailing throughout the main hall, women’s area, and courtyard. Marvel at the three decorative arches that overlook the prayer room in the women’s gallery and the original Hebrew inscriptions that adorn the walls of the main hall. Relax for a few moments in the tranquil garden courtyard, enjoying the afternoon sun. The synagogue is free of charge but visiting hours are limited, so check the website before you go. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Cordoba holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Sinagoga and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • If, is unique, in Spain historical only there are three, in Toledo two and were used as churches Catholic, with names of Virgin, Virgin of the transit and Santa Maria it white, and only it of Cordoba maintains its structure of synagogue, with nuances of it time Muslim in its ornamentation, all a luxury for them eyes and not say view, as are two eyes which it contemplated. The second most visited monument after the mosque

  • Unusual small synagogue with Moorish influences. Well worth the short visit if you are wandering round the Jewish quarter. Free admission for EU citizens.
  • Located in full in the Jewish quarter, just in front of the Casa of Sephardic, this small Synagogue is the only one to have survived the reconquista that clearly did not spare places of Jewish worship, nor the Muslim sites, with the exception of Mezquita-Cathedral. Feel free to take a look, it's beautiful and it's FREE for Europeans

  • Small, not much too see. No stories. Nothing to read. Forgettable. Go 50 meters further (Maimonides).
  • I didnt know anything about what happened to theJewish population during the Spanish and Cordoban Inquisition. Learned a lot with the hand out. Take the time to read and educate yourself. Artifacts didn't interest me much though.
  • Small sinagogue but worth visit... streets around are very nice and worth the walk
  • It's pretty but quite small. No need for entrance fee
  • Muy bonita!
