Santa Marina is one of the churches built by Ferdinand of Castile at a mosque that had been built on the ruins of a Visigothic Church. It has a nice antique Gothic façade with a rose window, supported by four massive buttresses. Austere but elegant. Nice also the altar.

Beautiful architectural building located on a pedestrian square. Easy access. It is very nice both inside and out. In a lovely old area.

  • Very nice and different from all other churches in the city. Note its great antiquity nothing more to see it. A sentence that is not best restored.

  • Ranked built by Fernando III the Saint in the 13th century, is located in one of the most authentic neighborhoods of Córdoba. It has been subjected to numerous restorations; its interior hosts images of two-step processions of Holy week. The entrance is free. The opening hours are from 8.30 to 12.00 and from 18.00 to 20.00. Opposite the main façade we find the famous monument to Manolete.

Where to stay in Cordoba

To experience the heart of Cordoba's old-world charm, the famous Jewish Quarter, or Judería, offers an array of family-owned pensions and boutique hotels with close proximity to the city's main attractions and lively tapas culture. A number of newer hotels surround the local train and bus stations offering more spacious accomodations, although removed from the city's historical district. Above all, be sure to book a hotel equipped with air conditioning as Cordoba is famous for its scorching tempuratures during the late spring and summer.
