  • Nice and big church that is a mixture of styles (Gothic, Romanesque and mudejar, inevitable). Built on the ruins of a mosque, the Visual impact highlights the extreme compactness of structure: to emphasize that it is a much loved Church dagkli inhabitants of Seville and that at the end of the 800 was partially destroyed by fire and later restored.

  • Good
  • Of the most ancient of Cordoba, was built in the second half of the 12th century, in the place which is called a 7th century Visigothic Temple, and formerly a Moorish mosque, of which remains no vestige. In the middle ages, it bordered the wall that separated the Ajerquía villa, as well as the defunct Colodro gate. Today gives its name to one of the neighborhoods with more tradition in the city, popularly known as 'barrio de los toreros' by their tradition. Front their crossed main extends Santa Marina square, presided over by the monument "Manolete".

  • Temple the so-called mdas Fernandinas churches, in an area with many solera in Cordoba-Cordoba, ideal for walking at night and admire its building from the monument to Manolete. A pleasure for the senses, its smells Jasmine of neighborhood plants and the noise already absent from the edges of the convent which surrounds the square.

Where to stay in Cordoba

To experience the heart of Cordoba's old-world charm, the famous Jewish Quarter, or Judería, offers an array of family-owned pensions and boutique hotels with close proximity to the city's main attractions and lively tapas culture. A number of newer hotels surround the local train and bus stations offering more spacious accomodations, although removed from the city's historical district. Above all, be sure to book a hotel equipped with air conditioning as Cordoba is famous for its scorching tempuratures during the late spring and summer.
