  • A milestone that must be seen despite the your little spectacle by comparing with the other attractions of the city. Comparing with the Temple of Diana in Évora is several points behind

  • I think it would be nice to see them passing by rather than deliberately coming. But the scenery is very pretty, so it would be nice to sit on the bench and relax. Not recommended for tourists, but if you are on a long trip, I recommend sitting on the bench with a simple snack. Especially at the time of an evening glowing!
  • To be honest if you are expecting a spectacular Roman edifice, you may be a little disappointed. There are a few columns and not much else. It's in the centre of town so worth a look if your there but otherwise it's really one for the enthusiast.
  • Fascinating archaeological remains slap bang in the middle of shops and houses. You can't get access but there's a good viewing point as well as information boards in English.
  • Nice place to see some more history of the city without the crowds of the tourist since they typically don't make it this far into the city.
  • Not much to see there. But very good restaurant nearby: La Cuarta.

Where to stay in Cordoba

To experience the heart of Cordoba's old-world charm, the famous Jewish Quarter, or Judería, offers an array of family-owned pensions and boutique hotels with close proximity to the city's main attractions and lively tapas culture. A number of newer hotels surround the local train and bus stations offering more spacious accomodations, although removed from the city's historical district. Above all, be sure to book a hotel equipped with air conditioning as Cordoba is famous for its scorching tempuratures during the late spring and summer.
