Patios de Cordoba, Cordoba

4.6
Patios de Cordoba maintains an architectural heritage dating back to the city's Roman period. Ancient inhabitants realized that an inner courtyard featuring a fountain provided relief from the region's hot, dry climate. The Moors improved on the design by adding flowers to the courtyards. Numerous areas of Córdoba still display these courtyards as they were hundreds of years ago, but you'll find the largest concentration of them in the district of Alcázar Viejo. Many residents keep their courtyards open to the public, so pop into a few and admire the displays of colorful flowers spilling over the backdrop of white-walled houses. • April 18 take a visit to Córdoba to see its courtyards, especially to reach the B of San Basilio and mistakenly purchased Patios entries in blue, big mistake, some without whitewash (specifically that the owner taught) in a dead-end any of those who taught such patios did not give explanations, looking not to cater for visitors, lot of Geraniums in general without variety of plants, so bring another idea that scooped her up from internet and neighbors, I went back to pay the Green and pink Pa tickets uncles of San Basilio, a surprise, ideal variety of plants and utensils period, ancient mueblecitos, any preserved until a piece of wall inside, very attentive people, lot of explanations offering a wine or a gift, also to those who could be access by paying the will were also both owners and its courtyard, also with mueblecitos and objects were high-scoring image you want to give the CORDOBAN patios? Given that I ate in that Bº duration was almost three hours.

  • see well-kept flowers always like and Cordoba much more, not only see flowers, you see a way of life and a splendid care. I recommend to visit during the week since ends the week's queues are beastly. There are patios free of payment and different disciplines. and I'll give you another recommendation but which do not leave here, if you're in the second half of April much better, there are fewer people and many owners explain their patio with great enthusiasm
