  • This museum has a surprising amount of artifacts on display. They are still digging under the Square so new things to see all the time. Take the time to look for this one when you visit Cordoba.  more »

  • This is a well - maintained museum, with a good collection of very old coins. But the biggest draw here is the basement, where they show a partially - excavated Roman amphitheater. Apparently there are plans to dig more in the plaza facing the museum, so this may be an opportunity to see to dig in progress

  • Really interesting. It's built on the ruins of the roman theatre so you get to go underneath to see them. Also an interesting history of the city.
  • Nice small museum, beautifully packaged. Really interesting. English explanations, too. Free entrance for EU citizens (for Brits, too, still?). Arabic period of Córdoba does not get a lot of attention, it seemed to me.
  • They've built a museum over a Roman theater...and I like to see all things Roman. Aside from the exposed ruins of the theater, the rest of the museum has artifacts of ancient Cordoba including after the Romans left.
