Where to stay in Cordoba

To experience the heart of Cordoba's old-world charm, the famous Jewish Quarter, or Judería, offers an array of family-owned pensions and boutique hotels with close proximity to the city's main attractions and lively tapas culture. A number of newer hotels surround the local train and bus stations offering more spacious accomodations, although removed from the city's historical district. Above all, be sure to book a hotel equipped with air conditioning as Cordoba is famous for its scorching tempuratures during the late spring and summer.

  • Like others have said, this appears to be some sort of water tank at first sight -nothing to explain that it is a Roman mausoleum or to explain why it might be where it is. So, unless you're walking p...  more »

  • It's nice, but you can't go in, most of the structure is under the ground and you only have the painting to dream how it looked like
  • Cannot miss it if you are walking past the park.
  • Disappointing
  • A jewel archaeological in the heart of the city, are two Roman tombs from the 1st century, a fully restored and with the Roman road in perfect condition

  • Two curious mausoleums Roman of cylindrical form dating back to the 1st century, found in the gardens of the victory. Between both found some meters of the booted that linked Corduba with Hispalis. In my opinion, the restoration has been relatively little lucky; one of the mausoleums is rebuilt to a large extent, while another only has reconstructed a semi-circle, since just over it a ride that crosses the gardens. The whole is below the ground level, so it is not appreciated the monumentality. Next the mausoleums there is an information panel. As it is in the heart, sooner or later we will come to him, so it is worthwhile to spend the five minutes we used to visit them. The access is free.
